Headwall Inc., CEO, 2022-present

                                                                                                                                      

Headwall is a software company that allows for a digital twin of a command center to be instantiated in a virtual reality headset. Headwall places secure video feeds, data visualization, and real world hardware control into an immersive virtual and mixed reality environment. Joined Headwall at pre-revenue stage to organize team and launch product.

Varjo Technologies, Head of Business Development, North America, 2017-2022

                                                                                                                                      

First US employee of Varjo Technologies Oy. Varjo designs and manufactures high performance VR and AR hardware for enterprise applications.

  • Established Varjo as a key technology hardware platform for US Military aviation and technical training

  • Initiated and managed key relationships with technology partners including Unity, Epic, NVIDIA, and Lenovo

  • Initiated and maintained all early customer relationships

  • Ran early access program and guided first users through adoption and implementation of Varjo platform

  • Hired, onboarded and trained initial team in the US including marketing, sales and technical support personnel

Pavilion Media, Principal, 2017

                                                                                                                                             

Pavilion Media was founded to help large companies tackle “impossible” or extremely specialized media and rapid prototyping tasks. Pavilion was able to provide subject matter experts and key personnel for high profile virtual reality activations and create specialized hardware such as a camera mounting plate for a 3D virtual reality broadcast of the Superbowl. Clients included 30 Ninjas, Verizon and Media Monks.

Nokia Technologies, Virtual Reality Products/Presence Capture, Field Applications Lead, 2015-2017

I was recruited early in the formation of the division and spent 2 years working on the OZO line. The OZO was the first ever professional virtual reality camera. I used my expertise and contacts in broadcast and cinema to transform our product line and generate partnerships, resulting in vastly increased adoption and loyalty among industry professionals. I also led high profile deployments of OZO and OZO Live, and developed accessories for the Virtual Reality product suite.

  • Served as point of contact for partnerships with Disney, Sony, Lucasfilm, ABC and Universal Music Group. Introduced companies to our product line, addressed the concerns of their technical teams and ensured the success of their initial OZO and OZO Live projects.

  • Product manager for OZO Remote and OZO hardware accessories.

  • Wrote technical manuals on advanced image topics including, “Capturing for Optical Flow Stitching,” “OZO and Camera Movement,” and “OZO Advanced Exposure Guide."

  • Generated IP and patented technology in the virtual reality capture space including a novel method for lighting 360 video from camera.  

  • Producer and Technical Supervisor on OZO and OZO Live projects including VR broadcasts with Dancing with The Stars, UEFA, Austin City Limits, and Coachella.

Founded VR consultancy and production company to apply advanced 3D cinematic capture techniques to virtual reality and 360-degree capture.

  • Developed camera hardware, vfx templates, and other proprietary post processing solutions. Patent Pending on our leading hardware solution.

 

Dawn of The Planet of the Apes, Stalingrad 3D, Amazing Spiderman, 3D Team Technical Lead, 2011-2013

                                                         

Technical team lead on major motion pictures using advanced 3D capture techniques. Responsible for leading teams, troubleshooting bugs, and operating equipment to create sub-pixel accurate stereo image capture.
